I graduated from Auburn Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1963.
I married Gerald Inman August 10,1963 and we divorced after 22-years but remained friendly for the girls sake. I have two daughters: Lizabeth (41 married) and Rose (37 and unmarried) and I have two grandsons, Zackary, soon to be twelve, and Joshua, soon to be eleven. They are really good about helping me with things.
I have lived within Cayuga County my entire life. When we were first married, we bought a house on Spring Lake Road and then moved to Howland Island Road. After a house fire in 1987, the girls and I moved to my parents camp on Duck Lake. I sold that in 1998 and moved first to Weedsport and then here to Hillside Terrace in 2000. It is senior citizen housing.
I worked as an RN from graduation until Beth was born and took six years off until Rose was about 1. I worked 15-1/2 years at Mercy Health and Rehab in Auburn and then at a nursing home in Waterloo. I took a year out after I worked in Waterloo for a while to sell life insurance for Prudential. I started to have difficulty walking due to arthritis and have been on Social Security disability since 1994. I have used a wheelchair for the past four years.
I had horses when in high school and eventually had as many as 10 Arabians and Part Arabs. We kept a stallion and the girls showed a lot. Beth's old horse just died 3 or 4 years ago - he was the last of the ones I bred. I do some craft stuff, go to the boys’ soccer games and play with my critters - a cat and two birds
